Paul Jackson Warren

Newspaper_photoage 28, passed away December 1, 2011. Paul was a 2002 graduate of Hendersonville High School. He attended Lipscomb University where he played golf and graduated with his MBA in business in 2007. He then went on to work as the Assistant Vice President at Volunteer State Bank. He was also an active member of the Hendersonville Morning Rotary Club. He was loved by everyone that knew him and will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Warren and Tommy Powers. He is survived by his loving wife, Molly Warren; parents, Kathy and Johnny Warren; sister, Lorie Warren; brother-in-law, Jordan Drake; grandmothers, Eloise Sechler and Martha Powers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2 until 8 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home, and on Monday from 12 until 2 p.m. at Hendersonville First Baptist Church. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Doug Varnado and David Gregory officiating at Hendersonville First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Ruby Nell Doss Spurlock

age 85, of Gallatin, passed away November 25, 2011. She was born in Westmoreland, June 15, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Keen Doss. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Maybelle Hunter and an infant sister and one great granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Smith. She was a graduate of Gallatin High School in 1943, where she played trumpet with the band. She retired from Bell South Telephone Co. in 1987 after 40 years of service. She was a long time member of Gallatin Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Joe Spurlock of Gallatin; two sons, Ron (Jane) Spurlock of Franklin, TN, Mike (Patty) Spurlock of Dawsonville, GA; a daughter Michelle (Tommy) Dale of Gallatin; grandchildren, Christy (Anthony) Smith, Tracy (Terry) Gregory, Michael (Aimee) Spurlock, Amy (Ryan) Miller and Teska (Chip) Couch; great grandchildren, Amanda Gregory, Courtney Smith, Hadley Spurlock, Atticus Spurlock, Hunter Couch, Savannah Couch, Reese Miller, Ethan Miller, Landon Miller and Ashley Payne and one great-great grandchild, Autumn Payne. Funeral service was Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Noel Quinn and Father Michael Spurlock officiating. Burial followed in Crestview Memorial Park with Ricky Hollins, Steve Hollins, Phil Hollins, Terry Gregory, Anthony Hudson, Ryan Miller, Hunter Couch and Atticus Spurlock serving as pallbearers. Rosemary Grantham

age 79, of Gallatin, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Graveside service is today, Wednesday, November 30 at 1 p.m. from Old Brush Cemetery, with Father Stephen Gideon officiating. Visitation is today, 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home. Mrs. Grantham was born in Indianapolis, IN, December 29, 1931, daughter of the late George Nicholas and Winfred Mary Smith Adams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Grantham, son, Victor Grantham and two brothers, George and Ken Adams. age 68, of Lynchburg, formerly of Castalian Springs, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Katie Marie Lowery

age 81, of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Funeral service was Saturday, November 19 at noon from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Father Stephen Gideon officiating. Interment followed in Sumner Memorial Gardens with Butch Isaacks, Tim Doughtie, Barry Perry, Roland Pena, Richard Stewart and Jeff Wynn serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Lowery was born in Bethpage, October 15, 1930, daughter of the late George and Emma Sullivan Carter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willis W. Lowery, son Andy Lowery, daughter Elizabeth Levy, brothers, George, Barney, Paul “Jr.” and Harry Carter, sisters, Oma Del Troutt and Rosie Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Teresa Herman of Gallatin, Judy Lowery of Gallatin, Kathy (Bob) Somerville of Rosenberg, TX, Joey (Katherine) Lowery of Fresno, TX, Monica (Butch) Isaacks of Iola, TX, brother James (Josephine) Carter of Gallatin; grandchildren, Eddie, Greg and Jeff Herman, Michelle (Roland) Pena, Michael (Cherry) Poirier, Katie Armbruster, Kristen (Tim) Doughtie and David Isaacks; great grandchildren Nicky, Joey, and Isabella Pena, Alina Poirier and Addison and Ansley Doughtie. Joe Gray Crawford, Sr.

was born in Hartsville on March 14, 1944 to Robert Crawford and Ethel Holman, who precede him in death, along with wife, Donna Sue Wright Crawford, son, Billy Donnell House and brother, Curtis Humphrey. Joe Gray, Sr. departed this life Thursday, November 24 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Joe (Heather) Crawford, Jr., of Gallatin, Randy (Jaleesa) Crawford, of Dixon Springs, Shenell Crawford of Gallatin, Donde (Glenda) Malone, of Hartsville, Lisa Ann Shaw and husband, of Gallatin and Lisa House, of Nashville; 21 grandchildren, nine boys and 12 girls; four great grandchildren; devoted cousin, Dorris Holman, of Hendersonville and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
