Hazel Graves age 73, of Gallatin, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012. Funeral service will be Friday, January 6, 2012 from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Larry Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Sumner Memorial Gardens with Ricky Farley, Roger Farley, Brian Graves, Jason Graves, Jeffery Graves and Joey Graves serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, January 5 from 2-8 p.m. and Friday, January 6 from 10 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Graves was born July 5, 1938 in Macon County, daughter of the late Dewey and Thelma Hammock Farley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Graves. She is survived by her son, Bill Graves; daughter, Jan Graves; brother, Bobby Farley (Patsy), all of Gallatin; grandchildren, Allen Satterfield (Heather), Spencer Graves and Mallory Graves and great grandchild, Lillian Satterfield. Funeral service was Friday, December 30 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Elder Jerry Shrum officiating. Interment followed in Crestview Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were employees of GAPCO. Mrs. Turner was born June 4, 1935 in Sumner County, daughter of the late Walter and Lecta Draper Sisco. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Turner, Sr., sister, Gladys Williams and brothers, Bradley Sisco, Earl Sisco and Lamon Sisco. She is survived by her children, Pamela Ann Turner, of Gallatin, Charles A. Funeral service for Mrs. Troutt, is today, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Woodard Funeral Home with Brother Gene Heath and Dr. Warren Rose officiating. Mabel Taylor Franklin age 90, of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Funeral service was Saturday, December 31 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Jonathan England officiating. Interment followed in Crestview Memorial Park with Glenn Haynes, Barry Goldsmith, Jeff Conyer, Tommy Franklin, Jim Johnson and Steve Tucker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Elders and Deacons at Bushs Chapel Church of Christ. Mrs. Franklin was born January 26, 1921 in Sumner County, daughter of the late Ira and Frances Durham Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson, Mark Franklin; brothers, Gordon Taylor and Harold Taylor and sister, Margaret Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Sumner A. “Chuck” Franklin of Gallatin; son, Thomas S. Franklin (Patsy) of Chattanooga; brothers, Kenneth Taylor (Mary Frances) and Joe Taylor (Virginia) of Gallatin; sisters, Catherine Haynes of Gallatin, Callie Long of Michigan, Carolyn Goldsmith of Upton, KY and Delores Lopaze (Jim) of Elgin, TX; granddaughter, Joy Hiett (Jason) of Cleveland, OH and great grandchildren Ellis Hiett and Sumner Hiett. Manuel Betancourt age 85, of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 5 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home and he will be cremated after the service. Visitation is today, Wednesday, January 4 from 4-7 p.m. Mr. Betancourt was born November 20, 1926 in New York, NY, son of the late Manuel Betancourt and Josephine Rivera Betancourt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Betancourt; sister, Amparo Betancourt and brother, Theodore E. Betancourt. He is survived by his wife, Marie Spivey Betancourt of Gallatin; sons, Daniel Betancourt (Sandy) of New Jersey and Philip C. Betancourt (Heather) of Sarasota, FL; brothers, Charlie Betancourt (Carman) and James Betancourt (Josie) all of New York, NY; sisters, Isabel Aviles of Delaware and Helen Rios of New York, NY; sister-in-law, Aida Betancourt of New Jersey and grandchildren, Jonathan Betancourt, Matthew Betancourt, Scott Betancourt, Amber Betancourt and David Betancourt. Mr. Betancourt served during WWII in the U. S. Navy and then later joined the U. S. Army, where he retired after 22 years as a SFC. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Dean Speck, husband, Tom Stratton, Sr., stepfather - Larry Speck Mrs. Stratton is survived by her daughter Jodi Wright, Marietta, GA; mother, LaVeta Speck, Gallatin; son, Tom Stratton, Jr., Cookeville; son, Sam Willeford, Gallatin; son-in-law, Darryl Wright, Marietta, GA; daughter-in-law, Erin Stratton, Cookeville and four grandchildren. |
