The Hendersonville wrestling team may have been the host in the Hendersonville Invitational Saturday, but it was Beech that took top honors in Sumner County, finishing fourth overall as a team.
The Buccaneers finished with a team score of 152, only eight points behind tournament champion St. Benedict, who finished with a score of 160.
Clarksville Northwest finished in second with a score of 157.5, and Germantown was just one point behind, 156.5 to finish the tournament in third.
The Commandos finished in fifth with a final score of 116, and Wilson County’s Mt. Juliet finished 10th, with a score of 90, and Lebanon finished in the 19th position, scoring just 18 total team points.
Hendersonville’s Dylan Treloar was the lone Sumner County wrestler to be crowned as champion in the 120 pound weight class over Beech’s Ryan White, but the Buccaneers also had Christian Lozano, Jacob Bolton, and Taylor Podany who also placed runner-up in their respective weight classes.
