Gather your friends, start your training and “help a child dodge abuse.” Just as promised, Sumner County CASA’s 6th annual Dodgeball event is just around the corner, set from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Volunteer State Community College. The tournament will be held for ages 18+. This year there is another opportunity for your team spirit to shine by creating the best uniform and competing for the best uniform award and the overall award. We remember how much fun that was had by all and believe this one will be packed with more excitement. CASA gives you that chance to have some fun and help “our” kids have a voice. If you know of five or more friends who would enjoy the experience, you will have the makings of a team. If you are really competitive, challenge your “nemesis” to form a team. Registration fee is $135 for a 10-player adult team. Registration forms are available by calling or emailing the Sumner County CASA office. For more information on CASA and dodge ball rules and registration information, call 451-1688, email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Sumner County CASA is a non-profit, United Way agency created to train community volunteers to speak for children involved in court due to allegations of abuse and neglect. All proceeds from this event will be used to give an abused and/or neglected child a voice. Submitted. |
