The Lady Bucs put the pressure on early and opened up with a full court press on Gallatin. The Lady Wave had trouble negotiating the defense and Beech cause several turnovers and converted them into baskets to take the lead early. Gallatin was held to only 6 points in the first quarter as the Lady Bucs applied the pressure in the backcourt and continued to force mistakes and steadily increase their lead. Gallatin was able to settle down and work their offense attempting to closed the gap but still trailed at the half 34-19. The Lady Bucs came out after the half with a new resolve and again aggressively pursued the full court pressure and converted several layups to produce 23 points in the third quarter while holding Gallatin to 4 points. It was all down hill from here as Beech cruised beyond a 35-point lead and the clock ran continuously for a large portion of the 4th quarter. The Lady Bucs would make a statement win taking their second victory over the Lady Wave this season with a 32-point margin. Bailey Taylor would lead the scoring for the Lady Bucs with 17 point. The balance for Beech was F. Baker 13, Alex Banks 12, S. Brown 12, M. Taylor 4, Ashtin Banks 2, and C. Davis with 2. For Gallatin, A. Duncan 6, N. Hopkins 6, B. Mockabee 6, C. Milan 4, S. Rice 4, H. Short 3, K. Briscoe 2. — By Jeff Kimble |
