Girls_SC_HHS_2Station Camp’s girls will ride into the postseason as District 9-AAA’s second seed on the heels of a six-game winning streak in league play, including Friday night’s 54-38 victory at Hendersonville. The Lady Bison tacked on a 67-45 victory over visiting Columbia on Monday night to close out the regular season.

Station Camp’s 30-20 halftime edge over Hendersonville turned into the 16-point margin by game’s end as senior Cheyenne North paced the Lady Bison with a game-high 26 points.

Janasia Williams added 11 points for Station Camp.

In four of the last six 9-AAA games, Station Camp has held its opponents to 38 points or less while scoring at least 52 points in each of those games. The Lady Bison start their postseason against Thursday seventh-seeded Portland, a team they defeated 54-30 and 52-31 in the regular season.

Hendersonville was led by Emily Hatfield’s 15 points, while Courtney Glover scored 13 points. The Lady Commandos enter the 9-AAA tourney as the sixth seed and will open at second-seeded Wilson Central Thursday. Hendersonville fell twice to the Lady Wildcats this season — opening league play with a 51-38 defeat against them in early December and a 58-33 loss Jan. 20.
