Hendersonville’s Matthew Heinrich and Sarah Hall were knocked out of the Class AAA singles tournament in their opening match.
Heinrich, a senior and three-time state qualifier, fell to Science Hill senior Michael Chen (6-7 (5), 4-6).
Chen, who fell in last year’s finals to Ravenwood’s Sean Karl, will get a rematch in Thursday afternoon’s semifinal round. Karl was a 6-0, 6-1 winner against Cleveland senior Alex Klibisz in Thursday morning’s quarterfinals.

The Station Camp girls’ 3,200-meter relay team will run in its final tonight. The meet begins at 6 p.m. and their event is the fourth one scheduled.
