Chamber’s Coffee Connections to provide added value
Tuesday, August 7, 2012

The Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce’s Tuesday Morning Leads meeting is morphing into a new format with a new name, Coffee Connections, beginning with the Tuesday, Aug. 7 meeting.

In addition to serving as a lead generator, Coffee Connections will have an added value with a speaker each week sharing business-related information. “We want to bring information each week that most business people can use,” said Ken Crider, chairman of the Coffee Connections. “These will not be a sales pitch where someone is trying to sell their services. This is solely to help our members improve their business and maximize what they are doing.”

The first four weeks of guest speakers are lined up and topics will include:

Aug. 7 - “Why Does Google Matter?”

Aug. 14 – “Contact Management System”

Aug. 21 – “Business Tax Issues”

Aug. 28– “Quickbooks overview”

Future session topics will likely include public speaking, sales, internet marketing, social networking, finance, time management, leadership, and heath care benefits.

“We want our membership-at-large to submit ideas that will add value and those who are willing to share their knowledge with the group,” said Crider, area manager for Sunwest Mortgage. “We will still have a leads session to introduce everyone to each other but it will not be as formalized as it has been.”

Coffee Connection meetings will be held at the Hendersonville Chamber office meeting room 8-8:45 every Tuesday, except weeks that include a holiday. Meetings are open to all chamber members and non-members are invited to two chamber lead functions free to get familiar with the benefits of membership.
