The Hendersonville Parks and students across Sumner County have a special bond. The kids growing up playing with each other in all kinds of sports, then they move on and represent their respective schools across the county.
We do not know what the future of this year holds for the Senior Class of 2020 athletes. They have given their bloods, sweat and tears for their programs and now it is our turn to honor them.
On Wednesday, April 8 at 8:20 p.m., we, the Parks Department, will join parks and schools across the county in the Be the Light Movement. Every light in our Parks will be turned on at 8:20 p.m. for 20 minutes and 20 seconds in honor of the Senior Class of 2020. We hope that all of Hendersonville will turn on their porch lights and flood lights in support of this effort!
We hope to see these young men and women in our parks again this year and Wednesday night we will Be the Light of hope that will happen. Thank you to the Class of 2020!
