The annual Hendersonville Pumpkin Patch Festival was held at the Streets of Indian Lake last Saturday. Thousands of children and their parents took part in the food, festivities, costume contests and, of course, picking out the perfect pumpkins.
Throughout the event, a variety of fun activities were available for the children, including bounce houses, face painting, bean bag toss games, balloon animals, pumpkin decorating and costume contests.
Early in the event, local magician Bruce Amato thrilled the crowd with a magic show. Following Amato’s performance, local band Tyme performed an extensive set of classic rock favorites to keep the atmosphere lively.
“By noon, we had already had about 5,000 people attend the event,” said Cheryl Puryear, community events coordinator for the Streets of Indian Lake.
