Despite the cool temperatures and wind, the annual Hendersonville Christmas Parade on Dec. 8 attracted a crowd of thousands.

Sponsored by Kimbro Air, the event featured over 70 entrants, including local dignitaries, floats, scout troops, musical performances and the Hendersonville, Station Camp and Beech High School marching bands.  Most of the floats and entrants were patterned after this year’s parade theme, “50 Years of Fun,” named in honor of the 50th anniversary of Hendersonville.

Led by this year’s Grand Marshals, actress Charlene Tilton and her daughter, singer Cherish Lee, the parade flowed on Hendersonville’s West Main Street for more than an hour.
