HHS JROTC remembers fallen 9/11 heroes

The Hendersonville High School MCJROTC Raider Team recognized the 20th anniversary of 9/11 by traveling to Fairview High School along with 19 other schools to participate in a Raider competition.

During the opening ceremony, a tribute was given to the fallen heroes of 9/11 and honorary bibs of fallen service members were given out to each competing cadet.

Each cadet wore a bib with the rank, name, branch, and years of service of fallen military members and competed in memory of a fallen hero.

The HHS Raider Team ended the competition day with a new sense of patriotism and the achievement of having the 2nd overall placement out of 19 other competing teams. They also celebrated 1st place in rope bridge, 2nd place in Gauntlet and Highlander, along with 3rd place in CCR and PFE events.
