Hendersonville Parks Department has closed several facilities through the end of the month due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Returning for the 2020 Christmas season is the Parks Department and HolidayFest’s annual Festival of Lights event sponsored by Ultimate Party. This year, not only will it feature even more light displays, but the public can now be a part of it.

Through the new Festival of Lights map, the community will be able to make an evening of looking at Christmas lights. Starting with the Festival of Light display, citizens can then drive around to look at the best Christmas lights located throughout the city.

For your chance to be featured on this map, send in your entry form along with 2019 Christmas photos and/or video to the Parks Department/HolidayFest by Sept. 30. Once all entries are received, members of a committee will select 10 of them to be included on this map along with the Festival of Lights route.

Entries are encouraged and can either be submitted via email to awise@hvilletn.org or they can also be received at the Parks Department in City Hall to Attn: Andrea Wise. Winners will be announced Thursday, Oct. 15 with the Festival of Light map being published on Monday, Nov. 2 through a variety of media outlets and distributed throughout Hendersonville. Those chosen will also receive a $50 Lowes gift card.

Pictures and/or videos must be included with your submission and will not be returned.
