The 7th annual Hendersonville Veterans Parade was held on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Nov. 10. Sponsored by the city of Hendersonville, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9851 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 240, this event honored all U.S. military veterans as well as current fire, police and emergency first responders.
Prior to the start of the parade, there was a dramatic, out and back flyover of five classic warbirds representing the different branches of the armed services
This year’s parade was the largest yet, featuring over 70 separate participants and floats, including veterans riding in military vehicles, local politicians, dignitaries riding in classic cars, Shriner clowns, area JROTC teams and the Hendersonville High School Marching Band of Gold.
