The annual Hendersonville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was held at Memorial Park in on Dec. 1.  The three-hour event featured holiday-themed musical performances, a snow globe photo booth and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  In addition, free horse-drawn carriage rides were available throughout the evening.

The event was co-emceed by HolidayFest President Larry Phillips and Jennifer Waddell, Hendersonville resident and Fox 17 morning anchor.  Throughout the event, there was a steady stream of musical performers, including Donna Frost, Wanette Turner, the Hendersonville High School Select Choir, the American Academy of Dance team, Daniella Bloom and Bailey James.  Just before the tree lighting, headliner Irlene Mandrell took to the stage and played through the end of the event.

At the end of the evening, Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary joined Santa and Mrs. Claus on stage to light the city’s official tree.
