TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has been named a 2022 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award recipient for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) services by Press Ganey. The award places the hospital in the country’s top five percent of healthcare providers.

“Our neonatal intensive care unit continues to raise the bar and make us proud,” said Justin Coury, chief executive officer at TriStar Hendersonville. “Our leaders and their teams work diligently to ensure our tiniest patients and their families have the best experience, and this well-deserved accolade is a testament to their dedication and efforts.”

The news comes as TriStar Hendersonville celebrates the seventh anniversary of the Birth Center and the current expansion — adding six birthing suites, four neonatal ICU rooms and an OB assessment area to meet the needs of the growing community. Completion of the 24,000 square foot expansion project is slated for the summer of 2024.

“By putting their patients and workforce first each and every day, TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is demonstrating their unwavering commitment to their employees and to the communities they serve,” said Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and chief executive officer, Press Ganey. “The caregivers at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center have inspired us with the compassion, empathy and human connection they bring to the clinical healthcare setting. We are honored to partner with them as we celebrate their achievement.”
