On May 24, U.S. Bank in Hendersonville hosted a 50th anniversary ribbon cutting and grand re-opening. On Jan. 4, 1969, the Citizens Bank of Hendersonville was opened as the second-ever bank in the city. One of the original bank presidents was Bill Burgess. Earlier this year, the bank made several improvements to the branch, including a new roof, an all-new teller line and new offices built out into the lobby to make room for a private banker, commercial banker, financial advisor and mortgage loan officer.
