A Beech High School student has been charged with aggravated assault after school officials broke up a fight in the boys’ bathroom at the school on Monday.
The school’s resource officer, who is also a Sumner County Sheriff’s Office deputy, was informed of a fight in the boys’ bathroom at around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, according to a sheriff’s office media release. The deputy as well as the school’s principal immediately responded.
Following an investigation by school administration and the deputy, a male juvenile student was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The victim was taken by his parents to a hospital where he was treated and released.
