An Antioch man was arrested Monday in connection with an armed robbery in Hendersonville that occurred over the weekend.
Rommy Garcia, 25, of Antioch, was arrested by Hendersonville police and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
On Saturday, just after 11 a.m., officers with the Hendersonville Police Department responded to a call for an armed robbery at SOHO Gallery, located at 767 W. Main St.
According to a HPD press release, Garcia reportedly entered the local business armed with a handgun and demanded merchandise from the store, as well as personal items from the clerk that was on duty.
In addition, a customer of the business walked in the store while the robbery was in process and was forced to comply with Garcia until he fled the area in a dark colored SUV that he had parked next to the building.
“Hendersonville police would like to thank our media partners and the public for their assistance in helping to identify the person responsible for this robbery,” the release stated.
