In the early morning hours of Sept. 26, Hendersonville police were notified by the Gallatin Police Department that they had attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in their jurisdiction but the driver fled toward Hendersonville.  

Hendersonville patrol officers spotted the vehicle getting on SR 386 near Shutes Lane and attempted another stop.  The vehicle continued to flee until spike strips were used by Flex Officers at SR 386 around Centerpoint Road. Three of the four tires were flattened causing the vehicle to come to a stop on the shoulder of I-65 south just after the SR 386 ramp.

Michelle Matas, 33 and Sharon Self, 49 were subsequently taken into custody.  Matas was charged with Simple Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Evading Arrest, Driving on a Revoked License, Light Law Violation and two MNPD warrants for Failure to be Booked.  

Self was charged with Simple Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Williamson County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Felony Theft.  Both were transported to the Sumner County Jail for booking.  Court date was set for Nov.11.
