Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary has launched “Ask for Your Mask” - an opportunity for residents to pick up free masks from the drive-through windows of local banks.
The masks are provided by the Sumner County Health Department and other sources. They are individually packaged.
“We need people to wear masks while they interact with other public,” said Clary. “We also need people to wash their hands and stay apart from people as much as possible.
“These masks will help stop the spread of germs from the person wearing them.”
The surgical-style masks are washable and reusable with ties that go around the head. People do not need to have accounts at a bank to ask for a mask there.
“Hendersonville is a thriving city of professionals who care deeply about our community,” said Clary. “I appreciate the bank employees’ help with this.”
The updated list of banks that are distributing the masks is available at hvilletn.org and on Facebook at Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary.
Currently those banks include Citizens Bank, Bank of Tennessee, CapStar, Pinnacle, First Horizon, Synovus, Simmons, Volunteer State Bank, U.S. Bank, and
