A Hendersonville man charged with inappropriately touching a minor and forcing her to send him nude photos of herself was recently indicted by a Sumner County grand jury.
Rohan Gordon, 50 of Northlake Drive, was arrested by Hendersonville police and charged with one count of sexual battery by an authority figure and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor on Aug. 17.
According to a police affidavit, HPD detectives and DCS investigators were called to a local high school on that day where they met with a school counselor and a 16-year-old minor.
During the initial interview, the teen said that several times over the last few weeks, but specifically between July of 2021 and August of 2021, she was touched inappropriately by Gordon. She also said that she was forced to send nude photos of herself over a social media platform.
Rohan admitted the sexual contact in controlled phone calls and text messages, according to the affidavit. He also acknowledged that he had been sent nude photos by the victim and that he told the teen to make sure she deleted the images.
The two counts were bound over to a grand jury in September. The grand jury issued a five-count indictment on Oct. 7 that included three additional counts, including an additional charge of sexual battery by an authority figure, exploitation of a minor by electronic means, and invasion of privacy.
Rohan remains in the Sumner County Jail on a $125,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Sumner County Criminal Court on Oct. 15.
