A single-vehicle crash on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard claimed the life of a Hendersonville man early Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on May 6 in the east bound lanes of the bypass just after Forest Retreat Road, according to Hendersonville Police Department Sgt. Josh Morrison.
Morrison said the car appeared to have crashed and rolled several times before becoming fully engulfed in flames.
The car’s driver, a man in his mid-forties, died at the scene. Police haven’t released the man’s name pending notification of next of kin.
Morrison said that speed was a factor in the crash. Police are continuing to investigate whether or not other factors were involved, he added.
