A man who was struck by a vehicle on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard on Saturday after pulling over to help adjust the cover on a friend’s boat has died from his injuries.
According to Hendersonville Police Department Sgt. Josh Morrison, the man was travelling westbound behind a friend who was towing a boat when the two pulled to the side of the road to secure the boat’s cover. The accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. between the Center Point Road and New Shackle Island Road exits.
Morrison said that police are still trying to determine where the man was on the roadway when he was struck. He added the incident is still under investigation, and declined to release the victim’s name and age.
The man, who was taken by ambulance to Tristar Skyline Medical Center, died from his injuries on Monday, according to Morrison.
