A Metro Nashville police officer has been decommissioned following an arrest in Hendersonville on Saturday for domestic assault.
Officer Matthew Cammarn, 31, was arrested by Hendersonville police for domestic assault against his wife on May 23, according to a Metro Nashville Police Department news release.
Hendersonville authorities were alerted by the MNPD after Cammarn’s wife reported to a member of Metro police that the officer body checked and pushed her during a heated argument in the couple’s home, according to the release.
Cammarn’s police equipment has been confiscated and the Office of Professional Accountability will be conducting an administrative investigation. The officer has been with the department for seven years and was assigned to the East precinct, according to the statement.
