A $198 million Powerball jackpot was won in Hendersonville Saturday night.
The Lottery has not yet announced the name of the winner but said Monday that the winning ticket was sold at Worsham's Market. On Monday afternoon, Worsham’s Market owner Bobby Worsham was awarded a check for $50,000 by Tennessee lottery officials.
The Tennessee Lottery advises the as-yet unknown ticket-holder to sign the back of the ticket, keep it in a secure location, consult with a financial advisor and call the Lottery’s headquarters in Nashville before coming to claim the prize. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
This is the seventh time a player in the state has matched all six numbers to win the top prize in the popular multi-state game.
