Powerball ticket worth $50K

A Powerball lottery ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Hendersonville on Saturday.

For the second time in three months a winning Powerball ticket has been sold in Hendersonville. 

A ticket sold at the Kroger at 1010 N. Glenbrook Way in the Glenbrook shopping center on Saturday, Oct. 26 has yielded a $50,000 prize, according to a media release from lottery officials.

The player matched four of the five white numbers drawn plus the red Powerball.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 3 20 48 54 59 and the Powerball number was 4.

The winner has 180 days to claim his or her winnings at the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation's Nashville office on Century Boulevard.

In July, a ticket worth $198 million was sold at Worsham’s Market just north of Hendersonville.

A representative of the Freedom Trust claimed a lump sum cash amount of $128.1 million on Aug. 1.

Worsham’s Market owner Bobby Worsham was awarded a check for $50,000 on July 15 for selling that winning ticket.

Since Jan. 20, 2004, the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation has raised more than $5 billion to fund designated education programs, including after-school programs, college grants and scholarships and Drive to 55 initiatives.
