Dorothy ‘Darcy’ Marcel Vinson

Dorothy ‘Darcy’ Marcel Vinson, 62, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Born February 5, 1958 in Nashville, she was the daughter of Fred Keyes and the late Anne Dickerson Keyes.

 

To say that Darcy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother would be an understatement. She was an amazing, selfless example of a Christian. Darcy was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman, her family was her life. She was a member of Station Camp Baptist Church where her husband, Cary, is a deacon and she headed the children’s ministry and taught Sunday School. Through the church, she was the area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child. Darcy was the best fisherperson in her family who always managed to catch the biggest fish during family fishing outings. She was also a wonderful gardener.

 

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother Fredrick Warren Keyes, Jr.

 

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Cary Vinson; sons Warren (Deborah) Vinson and Saul Vinson & his girlfriend Cortney McAdory; daughter Alissa (Bobby) Beasley; father Fred Keyes; grandchildren Cash Andrew Vinson, Macy Beasley, Chloe Vinson, and Molly Beasley; sisters Kathy (Sam Smith) Keyes, Delle Anne (Tommy) Duke, Kim (Kenny) Foglesong, Rosie Smith, Kellye (Marilyn Danforth) Keyes; brother Timothy (Connie) Keys; her cat Princess Mississippi; grand dogs Fred, Sunny, and Brodie; and her grandkitties.

 

In keeping with Darcy’s wishes, her body will be cremated.
