James Cooper Scott, 20, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away June 9, 2018, in Orlando, FL, where he attended college.
James, commonly known as Cooper, was born November 8, 1997, in Richmond, VA, and moved with his family to Hendersonville in 2005.
An avid and prolific musician, Mr. Scott majored in Music Production and was scheduled to graduate in February.
In addition to creating his own music, Mr. Scott helped other aspiring musicians by running Old Ghost Records, a record label he co-owned with Stone Prechodko.
He is survived by his parents, Gina and Richard Scott, fiancée, Christina Cleary, grandmother Louise Scott and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Community Church, 381 W. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN, with reception immediately following.
