Jesse Donald Tucker, age 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 12, in Nashville, TN, after a brave battle with COVID-19 and dementia.
He was born on June 18, 1944, in Seagraves, Texas. Don is survived by three children and their spouses: Lakon (Holly) Tucker of Hendersonville, TN; Tyra (Eric) Haag of Knoxville, TN; and Alyssa (Ty) Wells of Pensacola, FL; sisters (LaCosta and Tanya); nephews (Zachary and Grayson), nieces (Cali, Presley and Layla), and five grandsons—Aidan, Dylan, Noah, Brenton and Eli—who called him “Grand Don.” He is preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda, and parents, Beau and Juanita Tucker.
Don enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, boating, and flying. A private burial service will be held at Zion Hill Cemetery in Overton County, TN, where Don will be buried next to his late daughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice Care (1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203); the Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee (446 Metroplex Drive, Suite A-224, Nashville, TN 37211); or the Humane Society of Sumner County (16 Volunteer Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075).
