"Once the decision is made, we unite behind the man who was elected." Richard Nixon said these words when he was defeated by John F. Kennedy in 1960.
After a long and hard-fought race, the voters of this city have spoken and chosen Mayor Clary to continue for four more years. I genuinely hope that we can unite behind him and let this election begin a new era at City Hall. I pray that it is an era of collaboration and civility for a more prosperous Hendersonville.
I would like to thank my friends, supporters, and committed volunteers for your faith in me and the sacrifices you’ve made for this campaign. I would also like to thank my family, especially my husband Jim, for your steadfast love and belief in me.
My incredible campaign team, who worked so hard and held me up in the tough moments. Finally, I would like to thank the voters- those who voted for me and those who didn’t. I am thrilled to be a part of an election where people truly showed up and used their voice.
As for me, I will continue to love and serve this community as I have for over 40 years. I remain grateful and humbled for this experience and will always have #hope4hville.
