Goldie Marie Nicholson, 81, of White House passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Residence of Alive Hospice. She was born August 14, 1939 in Nashville, TN to Owen & Sarah Coleman Ferguson. She worked for 35+ years as a manager for Kroger and also ran the Stop 30 Restaurant in White House for 10 years. She was a member of Portland Road Church of Christ, enjoyed going to yard sales and shopping at junk stores and gambling. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy "Mac" McCormack, White House, TN; sons, Richard D. Nicholson, Cottontown, TN and Guy Michael Nicholson, Hendersonville, TN; daughters, Kathy Nicholson, Cottontown, TN and Billie (Ray) Hampton, Goodlettsville, TN; brother, Owen William Ferguson, Nashville, TN; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for 1pm Friday, September 18, 2020 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Dennis Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville at 3pm with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Thursday, September 17, 2020 4-8pm and Friday, September 18, 2020 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
