Brentwood’s Blake Chalfant works in front of Summit’s Alan Fee

HENDERSONVILLE - The 2019 soccer season came to a close Saturday afternoon in Hendersonville at the Field of Dreams as players from all over the state battled for one last time representing their respective high schools. 

In the end, the East team defeated the West team 5-1 behind three second-half goals and Knox Webb’s Will Miller collected Most Valuable Player honors. 

On the East team, just five players from the mid-state played for Bearden coach Ryan Radcliff, while team West was littered with mid-state talent.

Brentwood’s Blake Chalfant scored the game’s opening goal to give team West a 1-0 lead after burying a pass from Station Camp midfielder Riley Indermuehle. 

From there on out, it was all team East as Will Miller buried two goals while Bearden’s Fin Harris, Everett Hauser and Collin Lewis each collected one goal in the match.
