The Commandos enter the 2019 Class 6A Playoffs as the Region 4 #1 seed.

Following a 5-5 regular season, the Hendersonville Commandos enter the 2019 TSSAA Class 6A Playoffs as the number one seed out of Region 4.

The Commandos won the Region 4-6A Championship over Mt. Juliet, improving to 4-1 in league play.

The Commandos will play at Memorial Stadium Friday night against the Cookeville Cavaliers (5-5), the number four seed out Region 3.

This quadrant is very difficult to manage, but if the Commandos can find themselves in the quarterfinal round and a shot at the semifinals, they will be considered a heavy favorite to make it to Cookeville.

If the Commandos win Friday night, they will take on the winner of Blackman versus Wilson Central.

In my opinion, Blackman will win that game and the Blaze will visit Paul Decker field for the second year in-a-row.

If the Commandos can maneuver past the Blaze, they will set themselves up against the Class 6A defending champion Oakland Patriots, who will most likely come out of the four-team quadrant of Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, and Riverdale.

That quarterfinals will be played at Oakland High School.

If the Commandos best the Patriots, they will likely face the next state favorite in the Maryville Rebels.

The Rebels will go through the East side of the bracket playing Science Hill, Bradley Central, and Dobyn Bennett, in my opinion.

If the Commandos win that game and get to Cookeville, they will face off against likely Whitehaven, Ravenwood, Houston, or Brentwood.

There are a lot of different scenarios that can play out, but my prediction is: Oakland will play Whitehaven for the Class 6A state championship.
