The TSSAA soccer state tournaments are being held in Chattanooga at multiple sites through Saturday.

Here’s what happened on Day 1.

Class A

At Baylor

Alcoa 9, Crosstown 0: Charlotte Tymon erupted for five goals and Alcoa (13-6-1) advanced to the semifinals after allowing just two shots on goal.

CSAS 3, Madison Magnet 0: Cheyenne Frye scored all three goals and CSAS goalkeeper Addison Rudder added three saves.

Merrol Hyde 4, Memphis East 0: Sydney Rewa scored two goals and Sydney Arreza and Mary McIllwain each added one to keep Merrol Hyde in the hunt for the school’s first state title.

Chuckey-Doak 3, Huntland 0: Marci Merrell scored two goals and Bailea Gilland added another as Chuckey-Doak outshot Huntland 22-6.

Class AA

At Chattanooga Christian

Greeneville 5, Dyersburg 0: Anne Konieczny’s two goals opened up the Greeneville offense, which scored three times in the second half. Anna Shaw assisted two goals.

Page 4, Signal Mountain 1: Hayley Zehnder scored two unassisted goals in a game that featured three yellow cards. Kathryn Nelson and Emerson Ladd added the other scores for the Patriots, who limited Signal Mountain to two shots on goal.

Central Magnet 1, Gibbs 0: Reily Gusman’s unassisted goal turned out to be the lone score, as Central goalkeeper Alyssa Kini totaled three saves.

East Hamilton 3, South Gibson 2 (PKs): In what turned into the game of the tournament so far, East Hamilton won on Amelia Jesiak’s penalty kick after the teams battled scoreless through two halves.

Class AAA

At GPS

Houston 2, Science Hill 1: Lauren Fang’s goal from 14 yards out was the winner for Houston, which also got a goal from Ellet Smith as it recovered from a 1-0 deficit.

Ravenwood 3, Franklin Co. 1: Ravenwood’s state title defense got off to a good start behind Sarah Kate Rath’s big performance, which featured two goals and an assist. Rath’s pass to Leah Johnson in the first half resulted in a header that scored to make it 1-0. Rath later scored on a penalty kick and off an assist from Abigail Cullen.

Collierville 3, McMinn County 1: Collierville padded a 1-0 halftime lead with goals from Lena Woodcock and Ava Goodin, both assisted by Cameron Ewing.

Bearden 5, Nolensville 0: Bearden played like a tournament favorite getting four goals from four different players, as well as an own goal by Nolensville. Bearden attempted 10 corner kicks to Nolensville’s five.

Division II-A

Semifinals, Thursday At Baylor: BGA (11-5) vs. St. George’s (12-3-2), 11 a.m.; USJ (17-5) vs. Nashville Christian (12-1-1), 1:30 p.m.

Division II-AA

Semifinals, Thursday At Chattanooga Christian: Harpeth Hall (18-1-3) vs. GPS (11-4-1), 11 a.m.; CPA (9-1-2) vs. Baylor (15-1-2), 1:30 p.m.
